Body panels and kits: OEM vs non-OEM Fibre glass
Discussion
There are an awful lot of Porsche specialists selling replacement body panels and aftermarket body kits these days and the options seem to be quite endless with glass fibre being the main material of choice – no news to you lot I know.
This got me thinking - there is clearly a big market for glass fibre parts as most of them go for serious money. In some cases these parts maybe the only available options with parts for some of the older and rarer models becoming scarcer.
BUT will they stand the test of time, use and weather, or will they end up warping in heat, rippling with age and chipping with the hit of the summer’s first bug?
