Someone commented on another thread in the General area that short journeys will kill an engine.
This has now got me thinking, am I destroying my car.
I use my 944 S2 as my daily driver and I have a 3 mile drive to work, so 6 miles round trip, which I do twice a day.
So am I killing the engine?

I'm not sure what you mean by killing. However, you are wearing the engine out at an accelerated rate. 3 miles each way means the engine probably never gets up to temperature, also a significant amount of wear occurs when you start the engine from cold.
I've been in a similar situation. Short of buying a bike or a second car for this journey all you can really do is change the oil regularly, give it a good run from time time to time and perhaps take the long way to work?
