Just been taking to Sextons in Wandsworth about ipod-ing my car. It's a "52" 996 C2 with Bose and CDR23. They asked if the head unit has a blue ISO socket on the rear (if so the solution is much cheaper than the alternative £500 Denison 500).

Anyone happen to know if this unit does have this socket or not?

Cheers

Why don't you try a griffin roadtrip. I have one of these in my Boxster and was very suprised by the results. It is an FM transmitter, but works superbly with great reception. It also charges your ipod when docked.

I got one on ebay for about £35.

Yup, the RoadTrip works fine but doesn't fit the new Nano. Had to
"modify" mine to fit the NanoII after my NanoI was washed/ tumble-dried.

CDR23 and PCM2 don't accept the blue plugs as it is MOST bus - the CDR22 and PCM1 did.

As mentioned already, you'd hope they knew this already!

Feel free to drop me a line - £500 sounds a bit steep to me!

Cheers

FWIW - I have found sextons to be horrendously overpriced on their stereo equipment. Would strongly recomend someone else - Just completed the stereo upgrade in my car with Prestige in Rickmansworth and would strongly recomend them

Not sure if I have photos of the install though - chris?

Hi Andy
I have some piccies of it with the stealth cover in place, which sadly means it looks like nothing is fitted! I'll upload them so you can grab a copy.

Happy with the sound?
