The second hand prices for the Cayman seem to be holding strong and I was wondering if this was to do with a limited production run or if this car continues to be a very appealing option for prospective Porsche owners therefore reducing potential supply.

The reason I ask is that the Mrs is hankering after a Boxster and after strolling past a 56 plated Cayman S I can honest say that I was instantly taken with the sound!

Predictions for the second hand value over the next 12 months?

I would imagine it's the most basic of economic rules: supply & demand.

My thoughts on second hand prices (based on current data) after 12 months are roughly:
- OPC sell - £5k under invoice price
- Private sell - £7k under invoice price
- OPC buy - £10k under invoice price.

I say "invoice price" as there is such a varience based on options people put on it (ie. some go out at 44k, some at 52k).

Once that same car is 24 months old... I don't know yet
