If you purchased the car from an opc less than a year ago then you probally have it, you usually get a credit type card with the info on. If you just had your car warrantied at a OPC then Its just a warranty. I'm sure Vesuvius can tell you.
shout Vesuvius a warranty question.

Assist comes with the warranty. Though funnily I only got the card at my last renewal.

I'm sure that the last OPC warranty I had when it ran out you could renew the warranty, but the assist was separate, or an extra charge. Perhaps Its changed, or perhaps I'm wrong It was 2 0r 3 years ago.

Porsche Assistance does come with the warranty. I am surprised you don't have a card. I don't want to publish the number here so I'm mailing the OP...

Porsche Assistance doesn't come with a warranty as standard unless it's OPC issued (and it then says Warranty & Assistance). If you buy from an Indy and get a Warranty, chances are you won't get Assistance (unless you specifically ask or they specifically offer)

Porsche assist is run by the RAC , so that's who will probably turn up, or one of there sub-contractors.

Yep, and they know bugger all about Porsches, don't have flat beds you can get low cars on. You get the picture...

actually, the guy was good, mine a older gt3 without electric bonnet opening, so you have to
connect a live lead to fuse c3 which gives enough power to open the bonnet, then you in!

the beast is up and running on full charge now for the weekend track day

cheers

Developed a misfire on a friday night. Rang them, RAC chap turns up, really nice guy, and admits that he can't do much about it (and that he doesn't know a HUGE deal about Porsches).

But I have a trackday the next day I tell him. So he gets on the phone and organises a proper lowering hydraulic flatbed for 6.30 the following morning. It turns up (a little late) and gets me to Silverstone OPC for 8.30. In the interim my brother picks me up and we get there for some morning action. Guess what by 12.30 the car has been fixed and I'm out on track.

Now admittedly I'd prefer it if a proper Porsche technician turned up -but the big plus with Porsche assist is that if you do break down and they book you in, you get done straight away. Unlike if you ring up and have to wait a week to 10 days to be in the garage.

If you have a tax disc holder supplied with the car from an OPC the Porsche Assist number is usually on the back of that.
