Heard today from a very reliable source that there will definately only be 110 RHD 997GT3RS coming to the UK. No more orders are being taken unless they are filling cancelled slots.

Lets hope....would you bet against them??
Only real positive is that with the model going to the US this time, hopefully they can keep their profits up and Americans happy at the same time.

Its well known by know that what is "quoted" is usualy not the quota.... Porsche are about volume these days and if demand is high then they will build another 50 if they feel like it. As Clubsport said would you bet against them? I cast my mind back to buying my GT3 RS in 2003 and they said then that it was 75 for the UK only........Great cars none the less ... sorry no pun intended.

Hi Pete, it sure will. How are you getting on with the car anyway? I do like the new RS honest and would love to know how you are getting on with it. I hear they are a little bit 'Understeery' and not as vivid a sensation on the steering, whats your take?

Well, as for the car, this is my 7th 911 and it is a real dream. I have had a MK1 GT3 and in my hands this is far better - it is quicker, more predictable and just feels more planted. You do get understeer, particularly before the tyres come in and then when they are going off again but that may be pretty normal. I still have much to learn - been playing with tyre pressures today which helped me understand some more about the car.

I feel very lucky at the moment to have such a car! would not swap it for the world. this is not me just talking up my own car - I really mean it.

cheers
Pete

Carry the speed into the corner a bit more on the brakes and you may well find you loose the understeer.

There is as much or as little understeer as you like. You adjust it to your preference - that's the whole point of the GT3/RS.

I'm sure your right - only done 2 track days so far in it and have loads to learn about the car - in fact the car has only done 700 miles in total!

Point taken JFT, I used to have one. I was curious as I had heard from a proper racing driver of the understeer even with the factory settings of 29PSI front and 33PSI rear on the car. He also said they had twiddled the Geo a bit and it also did it but maybe the track was cold and damp. I am sure once the cars are in the Public Domain the cars will be honed in a bit.ears

I was originally informed that there would be double the RS numbers in GT3, so 220 in that case.
