yes, i know not as good as a standard one ( had one already 430bhp ) etc

but my mate is tempted on it: rarity, little leather switches , 450 bhp..... ( not convinced with the dials though )

but for sure one of the sexiest 911s ?

Hi there..

Does look a great car especially in yellow....very rare car a turbo S 993.

A 996 Turbo S is rare but that is beautiful.

Worth every penny if its straight and correct in my opinion.

Porsche GB ran a yellow car as a press demonstrator with their the famed HUL registration.
Stands a fighting chance this is the same car.

450bhp std UK spec, mine was speed yellow but not that one unless the dails have been changed

What bemused me was why, apparently, rathur thought that an T-S is not as good as a standard one.

IMO the std 408bhp TT is a far better everyday car, the S has monumental turbo lag and the ride is too firm

Looks very similar to one that RSJ sold a while back...Joel are you still out there?
That was an 'S' in yellow....he was asking circa 60k for it ...don't know what it sold for...

The ride is firm, although less so than that of a GT3, which most people on this forum seem to think is perfectly acceptable as a daily driver. I think this one would be a matter of taste.

As for turbo-lag, perhaps the car(s?) you drove were not set up properly. I've spent a lot of time in one, and the lag has never been even a minor issue.

most reviews say the S is too firm ( or more firm the standard , maybe Unnecessarily so ) and the different turbos mean more lag and not quite so smooth a drive

Flemke, agree nowhere near a gt3 though, maybe the whole carbon thing not quite so understated and chic!?

in the end a super cool car in reality

I had one for 18mths and got rid mainly because of the power delivery and understeer, straight line speed was however acceptable

Indeed, that is what I was thinking. I looked at that car back in '04 and it was about £60k...may have been more truth be told!

I think the colour makes it slightly worth less than say a silver or black car, but none the less a cracking car.

The silver/red 993 TTS at another Porsche dealer, had 6k on it, and I believe they bought it for around 63k.

This is indeed a car that we know.
We have sold it 3 times in the last 3 years.
All nice owners.
Good car.FPSH.
We did a front end repaint on it for stonechips.
Has a bill for every service.
New clutch as well i think.
Completely accident free.

Surprised its on the market actually as the last bloke who bought it already had 2 993 turbo S's and wanted to add it to his collection.

His butler collected it i think.

He probably never even drove it.He wasnt planning to.

I am trying to get it back as we speak

Why would you do that? A collection of Porsches fair enough, but a collection of the same car? That you don't drive?? Seems a bit idiotic to me.

He is a doctor in Highgate.
Tons of money.

I think he just liked the colour.

Wanted to probably just own it for a while.
Bit like one of the previous owners.
Eddie Best for those of you who know Eddie.
Eddie has owned 20 Porsches or more and covered less than 5000 miles between the 20 of them

= waste of about 18 good Porsches then IMO.

If I could afford to have that many top end Porsches i certainly would be able to afford to run them, and the depreciation that I might suffer on them for putting loads of miles on rarities, and therefore i'd never be out of them!!

Each to his own though I suppose.
