1997 (R) 993 C4S Tip. Black. Wide body. Turbo Twists. 75K. 3 owners. £29,950. Good value? From a dealer (ducks...!)

similar cars with half the miles seem to be advertised at 335k so probably acheve £33k, so seems OK if you get it for 28.5/29k

as above I reckon tip seriously puts off potential purchasers who are likely to be enthusiasts so the car should be discounted again for that (quite apart from the fact tip was awful in a 996 and was worse in a 993)

In your humble opinion, of course! Tiptronic may put of SOME potential purchasers - not all and certainly not me. Some of us recognise that a tiptronic box means no clutch problems and much less chance of the engine having been thrashed - something you can't tell when buying a car, no matter what the mileage. I wish this forum didn't produce such knee-jerk reactions to certain triggers: tiptronics for numpties, Boxsters for hairdressers, stealers for dealers, etc etc. It suggests a lack of imagination that must be off-putting for any newbie encountering the forum. The reactions from a lot of the regulars on this site are so predictable! All IMHO, of course.

everything I state on here is IMO, sometimes humble sometimes less so

of course some buyers won't mind the tip but IMHO a manual would be far more popular

Anything else we can mention to expand the discount?
We'll have it down to 25k before close of play.
