I think this car is for sale in the usa, although it says germany.
They have all ali panels, including front wings,a rs engine, gearing is very short for rallying,i think the top end is only about 130mph.Adjustable front and rear diffs,4 wheel drive etc.
A bit of a odd ball car, made approx 20 cars, there are a couple of cars around for sale.
If you search the web you can find some more info on them.

Porsche 911 world did an article on these cars a few years ago.
Seems it was a strange model as it had no real purpose (and wasn't homologated either IIRC)

It'd be a great car for the 'Ring in snow, but surely for similar money you could get a group B car, like a 6R4, Urquattro, RS200 or similar?

OE wheels were 16" as per Carrera 2 & 4 of the era.

Picture about 2/3 down this page. I think this is the car previously owned by Brian Burrows?

I don't know too much about these, but have seen 2 different cars in the metal, one being BB's car....both were fitted with Design '90 type wheels as normally found on regular 964 C2/4.

[anorakmodeon] I think though they appear to be standard Design 90 rims they were an inch wider than standard and possibly made from magnesium as well [anorakmodeoff]

As a fairly terminal rally-nutter, I really like that! Does anyone have any more info on it? I've browsed some of the links given, but performance stats, articles on driving & handling characteristics etc would be great.

Videos would be even better

Also any idea how cost-effective it would be to convert a regular C4 to similiar spec, ie lightweight, trick diffs, close ratio box etc? would have to be cheaper than buying a 1-of-20 genuine one?
