www.dynamix.uk.com/

I'm usually a bit sceptical about these kinds of leather "restorers" but the photos and feedback on their website (and ebay) do look pretty good.

Anyone tried it?

My 993 seats could do with a bit of cosmetic TLC and this will be a lot cheaper than a re-trim at Southbound!!!

Ryan uses actual Porsche leather dye and very good it is. Perfect match. I dyed a classic leather gear knob to graphite and the finish was perfect.

..or try Leathercare in Warrington. They do a proper re-finishing of the leather.

They did my previous 964 cab and the seats were amazing afterwards.

Any fininh on leather is basically paint with a clear lacquer over and a DIY kit won't have the same finish or durability as a pro. Leathercar are as pro as you can get, and the cost was about £250 for seats (front and rear), gearknob and handbrake.

I'll second what Damian said, I bought the stuff from Ryan for the gear gaiter and handbrake and the results are first class.

For a clean and refurb Gliptone Liquid Leather seems to be highly thought of around many car sites.

I used it when I got my 540 with very pale (grubby) yellow leather. The cleaning is not better than many and requires a fair bit of elbow grease to bring the dirt off but the conditioner is superb and really brings the leather back to great condition. Also has the added benefit of smelling like new leather for a while.

I think that's Ryan's business too!

Thanks for the replies all.

Only problem is Warrington is a bit of a journey for me.

Wanted to get the car remapped by 9M a few months back but was put off
by the distance.

I can feel a plan hatching.....I wonder if I can sort the logistics to the get
car up to Warrington and have the remap and and the leather treatment done on
the same day???

Off to maker some calls.....

The best 'smelling' leather care and in my opinion the best results too has to be liquid leather from gliptone.

Shockingly cheap too - however, I've heard rumours that some company is selling Connolleys Hide Cream that was by far the best stuff out there until they went into receivership.

Can't be; they are in Northern Ireland, and Leathercare's business is very much dependent on removing the seats and using compressor & spray equipment.
