Does anyone know if I can fit roof rails to my Cayenne if it has a panoramic sunroof?

No, you can't fit the roof rails if you have the panoramic roof I'm afraid.

Is this just because of the liability problem, because the rails and the channel that accepts the rails do not interfere with the roof operation. I do not intend to use the rails they are for decorative use only. I have seen a picture in the Cayenne booklet of a car with standard electric roof with rails fitted. Building your car on the Porsche website does not let you build the car with either roof openings when fitting the rails. Any further comments would be appreciated.

I can't recall the reason I was given at the OPC for the incompatibility of the roof rails with the panoramic roof, sorry. I think it was something to do with the inward sloping cant of the roof rail interfering with the stacked glass panels when open though I could be wrong as it was around 18 months ago. My car has the standard sliding sunroof with the rails.
