Thread title says it all really.

Need new road tyres that will cope with the occasional wet track day too & these look like good VFM.

I've got T1R's on the front of my 944 S2 - seem to do the trick nicely, but still early days. Have had T1S' on previous cars that I was very happy with, and the 'R is supposed to be better in the wet. As you said, great value for the money.

Used them on ,y 968CS, great grip wet or dry but did wear quickly.

Got these all round on the 930, neat anti-scuff shape near rim.

They grip very well but need A LOT OF SCRUBBING IN. Be careful for the first hundred miles or so as they seem to be quite famous for release agent and I can tell you from experience that they do not grip well when new, extra grip arrives steadily as you scrub them in.

Once scrubbed in they are great IMO, no tramlining really either on mine.

Thanks for the feed back gents.

Got a cracking price from Bracknell Tyre & Battery - 01344 411323 (Berkshire) so make a note if they are within stricking distance of where you live for when you need some more.

Andy

I have them on my MK1 Gt3. I think they are better than the Pilot Sports I had - though to be fair, the Pilot Sports were low on tread.

They are pretty good tyres for the money.

Didn't even enquire (or care a jot) about N rating, although I doubt it very much.

How would this affect your insurance? As strictly they aren't manufacturer approved if they aren't N rated.

Tyres just have to be legal for insurance.

Interesting. I'd always assumed they had to comply with manufacturers standards in some way.

It's only the OPC that likes to see N-Rated tyres on trade-in, without them look at £1k knocked off the price.
