Looking at all the threads, there seems to be a very large majority of male porsche owners; any female owners who frequent the site who care to identify themselves? Is the prediliction for porsches mainly a male one? I realilse that i am now open to all sorts of replies, but thought its worth an ask.

My wife's got a Boxster and an X5. One gets used a lot in the summer, the other gets used a lot in winter.

However, she would never be interested in an internet forum. She thinks they're for sad people eek who should have better things to do. To her a car is a consumer durable to use and enjoy, not to talk about.

I have a re-occurring shoulder injury and unfortunately I finally need to take the hint that after 2 Boxsters and a Tamora they don't do me any good. It's a real shame because our car performs exceptionally and handles like a dream. I really will miss it.

Geneve - are you sure you're not me? Siver 997GT3, wife with a Boxster and X5. It would be too much of a coincedence if you were as devilishly good looking and modest as me too!

Must have similar tastes (others can judge whether it's good or bad).

Actually, the X5 (a 3.0d sport) is very good. It's our second and is used everyday (usually full of kids and their clobber). Now nudging 40k miles and it's been faultless - 27mpg from new, just had first set of new tyres and one cheap service.

We just traded our family car a faultless 5 year old Lexus RX300 which we had from new. Not a moments problem, great to drive (even though I usually drove the porkers)and very convenient. Going to miss it unless the new RX400h is just as good ! So far its looking ok, its very much quicker, MPG is supposed to be a good step up and all the extras DVD's, phone, reversing camera are good additions. Think Im still going to sepnd most time in the Porkers tho.
