Twins and a 911 carrera sport 98
Discussion
Got the car, very happy but have a small problem twin daughters 3 years old need a trip out is there any child seats that fit in the back bucket seats made by Porsche or other good companies? Solutions needed as the "when can we go for a ride?" is becoming a dull monotonous thudding headache. And yes the idea of sick, sweets, numerous bodily fluids, drink does fill me with dread.
Help please

Well the 996 has pretty good rear seats for youngsters, so you should have no problems. And, most of the associated paraphernalia will fit in the boot. I think Audi kiddy seats fit in the 996.
have been looking at a previous thread from a year ago and still very confused, don't really want the porsche make, but don't want to skimp on the safety either, really need a one stop website that has safety ratings choice etc...

We use the Britax Kid 'plus' - £99, fits superb and has side supports for the head. Also simply to fit and a lot better support.
It's so good that the wife nicks it and uses it in the everyday car. Our daughter is 3 1/2.

This is the seat that Porsche re-badge and sell as the 'Porsche Kid' - for over 200 notes!

Al does that work with lap belts only or is a 3-point job?

Britax trio!! .. One tenth the price of the porsche seat and has been serving me well this last year with my three year old.
is it easy to fit? and do you know any of the safety ratings?
Sorry I can't help you with official ratings but they passed the 'Concerned Mother ' test , which was stringent I'll have you know. They're easy peasy to fit , you don't have to remove seat backs or anything , the seat is fastened using the cars three point harness.
Your best bet is to go to a car seat store , park outside the door and ask if they'll fit it so you can try it for size.

Wouldn't she be little on the big side for a kiddie seat ??

arf!
Mark - the Britax needs 3 point as it comes around the front of the seat and across daughter in normal seat belt way (through one very easy guide on the seat shoulder). Much more secure than the full baby seat harnesses, which she just wriggles her arms out of leaving just a lap belt effect.

Thought this was going to be some pervy thread about a pair of pretty 20 something twin girls spotted driving a 911.
Never mind...

You're the reason I bought the shotgun my son
At Le Mans a couple of years ago I saw two pretty blond girls, both in their late 20s driving a white Sunbeam Tiger doing burnouts and donuts for the assembled crown. Got to say it made them both incredibly attractive.

so were they a couple of old trollops then after a few donuts and bun offs they became really attractive.....I'm afraid you're suffering from the PH equivalent of beer googles...donut eyes
There's some truth in that.
They were both definitely pretty, but that rose to "sexiest thing in the world" with the two of them were in a classic v8 white convertible and were able to drive it properly, and clearly enjoyed doing so.
"Petrol goggles" I guess.
