A bit nervous as my newly aquired 993 has just clocked 120000 miles!

Do you think it will now bite me in the ass with a HUGE bill of some sort?

Just walked in after a spin in mine and have just gone over the 105k mark- feels incredibly tight and like it wants to do another 100k which I am quite happy to oblige!!

What a smashing looking car!

Enjoy, in the knowledge that if you look after it correctly it'll be around for your offspring .. Even if you haven't considered one yet! beer

Txs. I think.

Mrs. would like one.

An offspring, not a 993.

Ballcock are you ever in Blighty?

Are you going to the Ace Cafe thing?

I'll need to keep my new GT3 for 30 years to get to that mileage!

Maybe i'll start racking more miles up when i've retired at 40 laugh

Yep, I think that's what happens to high mileage cars, they become free revving.

Exactly - Mine's just passed the 132k mark - I use it every day, and love it to bits.

In a year or so, for the price of a new Ford Focus, I'll have it fettled and returned to 'as new' condition with a few judicious modifications to the suspension etc. - It'll outlive me!!

Just enjoy it! driving

Put some clear lenses on it and it'll be good for another 100K

Unlikely, but very likely that you will expend a great deal of cash upgrading suspension and fitting other non- essentials mods. I'll just say the words RSR Exhaust, HID headlamps, quick shift lever.

Full Porsche history til this year, then Kenny Dunn in Edinburgh for a service June 2006, then I got the oil and filters done at Parker & Parker Kendal (OPC) last month to be sure it was on nice oil, not s**t.

Touch wood it will be OK
