Does anyone here use the Porsche Tyre Compressor that comes with the 987 (guess it's the same as with other Porsche's) as their weekly tyre pressure checker and inflator?

If so how accurate is it?

I'm not sure I trust the local petrol station air machine, and usually some dick has parked there to go and buy sweets anyway, so using the supplied unit seems the easy option, but I'm not sure if it's something that's supplied purely as a "get me home" measure and isn't too accurate at measuring tyre pressures?

Never used it or checked how accurate it is myself.
Best bet is to spend a few £'s in Halfords on a better quality guage. Use the comp to put the air in then check with seperate guage.

Use mine for reinflating after track days quite regularly but accurate it aint! Ive got a large dial pressure gauge from zip karts which is great (+/- 0.5psi) so I use that to check the pressures. Garage gauages and my little compressor gauge are at least a few psi inaccurate.

BTW - I have checked my gauge for accuracy against a calibrated pressure gauge
