Ok,
lets get this going. I've got a 993 bi turbo and love it except for one thing - the steering. I feel like I'm driving a bus after the Elise. Its very slow (feels like 5 turns lock to lock!). Does anyone know of specialist/garage that would know about changing/swapping the steering rack and speeding it up.
I drove a 996 c2 with the porsche sports pack the other day, and have to say I was very impressed with the steering feel/response and the suspension set up. I'm looking to do the samne to the 993TT, as its just in standard trim, which is fine but I'm looking for something a bit more sharp. I presume its possible to put the GT2 rack in , bit I imagin if I start going down that road I should sell mine and just buy a GT2....

I've been away from the Porsche world for over five years now, although I'm returning on Friday when my new 996 is due to be delivered.
This means that you will know a great deal more than me about what's what and who's who, but for what it's worth I think the conversion will cost you much more at the end of the day than changing cars.
I had a look at www.porkers.co.uk and tried 'links' and then 'specialists' and the result was a long list of the sort of people who might be worth a phone call. Perhaps other Porsche drivers could tell you which of these can be relied upon.
Good luck!

Sell yours and buy a GT2. I know someone that's selling one for £75k and can put you in touch with him if you're interested.....
