Track Day Tyre Pressures?

Any one advise me on tyre pressures for a track day in a standard 944 Turbo with road going tyres? I did Silverstone a few weeks ago and it was fine at standard pressures but I was just wondering whether I could improve things a bit.

Depends on the tyres you are running on. Are they road tyres or track day specials?

Standard pressures way too high!!

Try 36 psi all four HOT on road tyres and play around from there.....

They are standard road Avons, not great but its what came with the car. I'll probably put some Michelin Pilot Sports on when I wear these out.
