GT3 exhaust system ?

Hi,

I am a newbie to this forum.
I have planned to buy either a 996 GT3 MKII clubsport or a 996 GT3RS.
I have already found some interesting threads about suspension and brakes.

I have heard the stock exhaust of both models and plan to upgrade it with an aftermarket one.

I have search the forum and found some topics with Cargraphic or Manthey exhaust system.

The main thing is to hear it before selecting one or the other
Quite difficult to find in the internet a wav or mp3 file with good sound
I guess that for those who have bought these aftermarket exhausts, you have had the same question about hearing it before buying it...

Do you guys have any mp3/wav cargraphic or manthey sounds ?
The manthey one is quite difficult to find on a french GT3 compared to the cargraphic ones that maybe i will be able to hear in a week or two on a MKI...

not easy to find clips of GT3's with sports exhausts...

I'd love to hear a range of them. All I'm going off is that the CG one is purported to `sound awesome` so i think i'm going to have to wait and see for myself once it's bolted on the back!

Don't change it if you're planning to do lots of track days at different circuits... The standard one barely makes it thru the noise meter at Castle Combe / Bedford...

Exactly, although Manthey do have a 'quiet' version of their exhaust, but that may undermine the whole point of making it sound fruitier...

There is a switchable one from Japan, but its about 4 grand + fitting and I don't know anyone with it. Sounds great in the clips, but no idea if quiet mode is quiet enough for trackdays.

I had a gemballa with 100 cell cats on my first mk1, lovely sound, made big difference, my latest guards red mk1 has the porsche sports exhaust ( 2.5k) on it and is even better, don't really know what the difference is, havnt looked into it but sounds brilliant!

No, i'm sure it dosen't, and the PSE wouldn't add as much power as some of the other systems.
I have heard good things about the cargraphic and manthey systems, although I have no 1st hand experience. Many members have though.

Just had a Tubi fitted to my Mk11 it is the muts nuts the sound is great and it is v quirt below 3000 but with a better note so crusing at 100 is no fuss.
I had the full treatment with the new cats and back boxes if you fancy hearing it i go through the knightsbridge underpass most days
