I own a 964 RS N-GT, which of these Engine Oils would you use ? Castrol edge sport 0W-40 (fully synthetic) or Shell Helix 10W-40 (semi synthetic) or what else ? also which brake fluid would you use I've been advised Castrol SRF, what are the alternatives bearing in mind car gets tracked fairly often
Crikey just been a few pages back and seen thread re SRF brake fluid my cars already running SRF (I think) cos its got a big sticker on the reservoir saying so, so i guess thats answered that one.

Have a look at the stickied oil thread in General Gassing and drop an email to Oilman at Opie oils.

If your car gets used hard or on track then Silkolene Race Pro or Motul is probably the best.

No idea on the brake fluid i'm afraid.

Mobil 1 Motorsport 15W40 is quite popular in 964s - I've been using it (and Castrol SRF brake fluid) for the last couple of years doing 6-10 trackdays without any problems.

I use Castrol RS 10w-60 in my 946RS along with SRF brake fluid and have never had a problem with running either. Some say that the oil is too thick and I should use a lighter weight, but I asked my local independent and his view was that this is fine for the car and he runs all of his race cars on it too.

SRF is a fine brake fluid, never even got close to pushing it over its performance levels (slow driver, I know!)...
