filling up 993
Discussion
Have just bought my first porsche 993 c4. Have filled it up with petrol twice.
This may be a common issue but the nozzle on the petrol pump does not fit comfortably in the petrol tank filling hole, thus causing it to not fill up properly and very slowly.
Has anyone else seen or had this issue?
Does ayone know if i can do anything about it?

I've forgotten how I do it... on my 3rd 993 and I can fill up in any petrol station without taking ages / clicking
Mostly use Tesco 99 and Optimax / V Power. Try twisting the nozzle so the bent bit doesn't point straight down, but points towards the rear of the car. In other words - push the nozzle all the way in as per normal, then turn the handle clockwise 30-45 degrees or so. The end of the nozzle then finds free air in the pipe and isn't pushing directly against the wall of the tube (which causes the cut-outs).
Give it a shot

Boy, I remember this with my 993C4S - felt right like a right idiot at the pumps until I clicked how to do it.
As others have suggested plonk the pump nozzle in as normal and rotate 90 degrees so it's pointing in the direction the car would travel.
FWIW, even my new Cayman is like this too - put the nozzle in "normally" as I have done with every other car I've owned (non-Porsches) and it just keeps clicking the pump off and you have to trickle the fuel in...
