HELP!! tech art gts formula 19" wheels what tyres r needed

hi people i bought some tech art gts formula wheels 19" as these are bigger than the 18" standard on 996tt what tyres can i put on these wheels for my car with out it scrapping my arches?? help as i amvery confused. thanks

What's the standard dimension/size of the TT tyres?

what u doin with your old wheels ?

conti sports have a protector for the edge of the alloys, not sure if they do em in those sizes, I imagine they should though, 997TT's have 19" as std

I think you need rear 295/20/19 and front 225/30/19

well i'm not sure what i'm gonna do with the old wheels but i did notice they are not hollow spoke!! thought they were standard on the 996tt's? erm the thing is i got these tech art wheels cheap alsoin brand new conditin in the boxes with cloth covers and so now i got em dont know what tyres to get on tech art it recomends 275 30 19 rear and 235 35 19 front but whats bothering me is that i loose some width from the rear....willthis be an issue? and by the way what is rimprotection as i've seen it on some web sites

i also rang germany TECH ART head quarters they told me to send it in to tech9 in uk and have my arches rolled??? but when i rang tech 9 they didn't even mention that!! so whats going on.... to be honist i dont wanna have any abs issues or any scrappin ....

The Techarts take

Front: 235/35/19
Rears: 315/25/19

But make sure these were for the Turbo

Lol, tyres ain't cheap!

The rear Techarts are very tight to the Arch, fronts are fine!

Get the Conti's, If your car is stock suspension you should be fine without rolling the arches!

i have fitted 2 sets of these wheels now with lowering springs and had to roll the arches on them..

with standard suspension you will be alright.

just drive as normal and when you stop if theres no noise from wheels hitting the arches great if you see black powder up the wings you will see where it has touched the tyre/wing....

i think i have jumped in the deep end guys,just bought a 993 tt turbo, the riviera blue is what did it, my missus whent ballistic she said to ring the guy up and ask for my money back, so i went into the next room, watched telly fo 5 mins, then told her that he said, you"ve paid me mate the car is yours, which was total bull...t, as martin from MCP Motorsport would have gladly had it back off me, that man is fantastic, completly trustworthy, and knows his csrs, but hey! life"s to short i kept telling my self, what was i going to do with the money that i did"t have in the first place, a new driveway, a trip to pragueeeeeeee shhhh, or how about a new people carrier for the missus and 6 kidds, well, 7, you get the picture, i am totaly broke and in debt, but hey if i cant pay for it, they will have to come and take it back,...... they"ve got to catch me first though. nick 19/01/07
