I've had my C2 cab for 3 and a bit years now. Bought it new and loaded it with pretty well all the available toys except tip, psm and park assist (spot the connection?). It's done a grand total of 12.5k in that time, all in my hands, and is therefore mint. It's pretty well done all the big depreciating, and it's pretty well paid for.

But I'm bored. I was flirting with the idea of a 360, but my daughter insists I have to get another four-seater, so that's out. Another Pork it is. Maybe.

Pop quiz. Would you:

1. Keep the 996 and spend the money on something else?

2. Buy a 996 turbo S cab s/h and accept the loss of some toys / poor spec choices / the potential financial catastrophe of PCCB?

3. Buy a 996 turbo cab s/h because the S is unnecessary, thereby saving 10k and having a wider choice of cars?

4. Do the sheep/robot thing and trundle off to spec a new 997 C2S cab, even though I dislike the looks and the boot's too small?

5. Other:

Budget around £80k, not a daily driver and I will (fingers crossed) soon have a garage, but I do want to be able to use it to go to work on sunny days (a 40 minute hack at an average 8 mph through London's third-world gridlock) and generally trundle about town. This quasi-practicality is a big argument in favour of option 1 and sticking with narrow-bodied anonymity, but you'll recall my ennui.

Nothing like a Pcar, but a 996 + M3 with SMG offers diversity, great commuting and 4 seats. Next year's M3 will be even more fun... but then again if you have a M3 you could go to the Ruf Cayman for a real kick!

Don't quite follow. Have a Range Rover for commuting purposes. Looking for a quasi-practical toy.
