Hi everyone,we have just bought a Boxster and would like to know the best way to keep the soft top clean and can we treat it with something to help it through the winter weather.

Renovo is your buddy. Google it to find their website and the rest is clear.

Renovo can be a b*gger to apply and get an even looking finish.

If you want to improve its watershedding qualities a treatment wth "Fabsil" (a waterproofing compound for tents etc and available from Outdoor Activity shops at around £12 for 2.5lts) works well, restores the finish and is a breeze to use.

Apply by brush or do a little masking and apply with a trigger spray to a DRY and CLEAN hood.

Cleaning - easy. Wet hood, apply a strong solution of car shampoo (wax free) work in with a stiff bristled handbrush and rinse with a free flow of water from a hose.
If you've got mould, a double strength mix of Milton Fluid (baby feeding bottle sterilising solution) gently scrubbed into and rinsed off affected areas will cure that problem.

Whatever you do don't bother with AutoGlyms soft top cleaner package - £20 down the drain

Hello JVR. You know too much about me,I'm worried. Will you be revealing your true identity on Sunday evening? We hope to be there, will you?
