993 wipers - where can I get them?

With a bit of luck, I'll be picking up my 993 Targa on Saturday.

Strasse's PPI noted that the front wiper is pretty crap (which I had already observed for myself when it started raining as I was testing it last weekend) so a change of wipers will be in order very early into ownership!

I've done a search on there and seen that Eurocarparts have been recommended in the past. They don't have any in stock. Anywhere else that anyone can suggest....?

(I've seen some on ebay, but they appear to be referring to pairs of them - and I don't think it's intended that one's for the front and one for the back as it refers to passenger and driver side blades! Could be a generic ad, I suppose, but it didn't instil much faith in their products!)

993 has twin front wiper blades of different lengths (sorry can remember lengths from memory) so you can just buy replacement blades from any car accessory shop. Enjoy your new car!

Congratulations.

Bosch wipers are available from Halfords. The 911 application is listed in their book, as somebody else stated there are two lengths. I've found for wipers there is not much in it between Halfords and GSF, Eurocarparts etc.

Be sure to transfer the rubber stopper from the old wipers to the new. You will see what I mean when you have the car.

I think you mean it has 2 wiper blades (one for either side) of different lengths

I have Bosch blades bought from local motor factor. About £8 the pair i think they were.

Mines Lhd (I know cheap scum etc..) and I recall using 1 x 15" and 1 x 18", I can't see why a rhd car would use smaller wipers?

Johnny, if you get an 18" and a 15" (or 13" you'll be fine.

Alternatively, measure the ones on your car before you go to Halfwits, i mean Halfrauds, i mean...

Just measured mine - 18" and 15.75" (approx) - they seem fine.
