OK it would be nice if we all had limitless funds and even if we did I thought it would be intersting to look at the secondhand range and slot them into good and less good value for money
I'll start with
Good
944 turbo and S2
early 996 (e.g. www.pistonheads.com/sales/93127.htm), see a leopard can change spots
Boxster
996 turbo
996 GT2
964 turbo - just
911SC
Mid life 993
928 - got be a nice one
Less good
924
911 Club Sport - what was the point ?
968
911 turbo
Caye. . . .
Cayman - for now
993 GT2 - I want one but £££££
964 RS - as above
911 Carrera
and the joker - the 993 turbo, I love them but just can't decide

Not sure this is very possible or even meaningful, as everyone has their opinions, likes and dislikes, knowledge levels etc.
Personally I don't see how a 911 turbo can be less good value than any 928. The 928 has a reputation of eating people alive with costs and is a bit lardy, even good ones, whereas the 911 turbo spans a long timeframe and are not particularly troublesome, but great to drive and depreciation hardened. Not that I don't like the 928...
The 996 turbo I think is good in many ways but better value than the 911 3.2 carrera?? Not in my view - probably the best and most trouble free and reasonable way into the 80's Porsche market and having the 944 for breakfast in many ways.
The 924 is not my favourite car, but given you can pick them up for about £300 must rate somewhere as value for money I think!! There should be a special class where the service bill for one car is bigger than the purchase price of another..
