2 x 265/40 ZR 18 - Michelin Pilot Sports = £460.00 all incl.

Reasonable price from an independent? Sounds a bit pricy to me.

Can anybody recommend anyone in or around the North West that could do these at a better price?

Thanks in advance.

I paid £318 two weeks ago for a pair of 285/35 ZR 18 Conti SportContact 2's from my local supplier. I've always had excellent service from them and their prices are always competitive. Your price sounds expensive to me.

Try these guys, I have used for several years. You can get an on-line quote and they will come to you, country wide. They have regular specials aswell. Hope this is of use!

Mytyres.co.uk - PH advertiser prices them up at £193.00 incl. postage and packing per tyre but obviously not fitted. So if you add the valves and balancing etc - you're getting up to the £460 mark easy for the two.

Expensive tyres the Pilot sports.

Maybe, but I think it's just the fact that there appears to be a surcharge for Michelin rubber. I've run your sizes through Event Tyres, but other than the fact they don't offer Continental tyres, they can do a Pirelli PZero Rosso for £387.00 all incl.
