May I ask for no "You should have brought a manual" type replies !!!

Recently the 2nd gear pull away from rest on my tiptronic box doesn't seem quite as sharp (or swift) as it was, I find I'm having to drop it to manual 1st in order to get away cleanly and safely.

Oddly enough (and I'm sure it's no more than coincidence) this has become more apparent since I had my PSE fitted !

I know I saw a thread on this subject a while back, but can't seem to get the search function to find it at the moment.

Was it something to do with the air mass sensor ?

Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Thanks

Do you have the switch with the PSE? if so does it do the same when the exhaust is switched off?

Even in small script I saw that !!!!!

No, I opted not to have the switch fitted as it seemed pointless.

How long ago did you have the PSE fitted? It could be that the ECU still needs time to remap now the airflow has altered if it's fairly recent.

Do you not remember my glorious thread extolling the virtues of it ?!!!!!!

About 4 weeks I think, but I've probably not driven more than 300 miles in it since then.

Over 17K posts here.... Occasionally I forget one or two

It might be worth resetting the ECU by disconnecting the battery for a while to default all the maps. Normal cautions about having all codes etc available and not shutting the bonnet! apply

that may as be - but we are not against an odd bit of thread hijack if it is in the interest of good humour
