Speak to Chris at 911 bodyshop in Wembley. Great guy but bolt him down to a firm price and don't budge. His work is excellent. Sure if there is a major unforseen problem then fair enough.

Clark and Carter of Cressing temple near Braintree. Just go and see the workshops, ignore the fact they are barns, look inside at the restoration work they do....pretty neat stuff.

Try Southchurch refinishers there around southend somewhere the fellas names Bruce I know they've done a lot of Porsche 356's and split Screen campers he's been going for years it's a totally first class service, they'll do total body restorations they strip the car to nothing, strip the car back to bare metal repair any rotten panels and respray in two pack or whatever and finish in a low bake oven, here's the address.......1 South Avenue Southend-On-Sea Essex SS2 5JB Tel: 01702 465072.....If my RS ever needs body work this is where I'll be sending it no doubt about it

I know of/have used a guy based near Horndon on the Hill. He has experience of most top end cars and I know several people who have used him and been 100% happy with his work. If this is local to you send me a PM and I'll give you his details.

Well it is not in your area but I can recomend Shorade Accident Repair in Cannock. They just did an excellent repair to my drivers door after I managed to get a 3" scratch in it. They are Porsche approved, do all of the work for Porsche Sutton Coldfield and also have won Porsche bodyshop of the year in the past. I had the guided tour and it was FULL of 911's in various states of repair and you can eat your dinner off the floor.

Very high standards, the son drives a 911 and the match on my car is, and I mean this, perfect! They are not your normal 'insurance' bodyshop and focus on the premium brands. You wont find better and they have been doing this for years and work from what can only be called state of the art premises. Far from you but a very safe bet!
