Well currently this is my List of Insurers, based on 5000 miles per year on my 968 Sport on Classic insurance, I'm 26 with one non Fault, my Girlfreind is also 26 no claims but lacks experience (of this type of car!)

Classic Line - Renewal £389 - PCGB Track day cover.....

AON - I'm too young for Quote min age 30

PCGB insurance/A Manning £393 £100 excess, PCGB and ATDO (www.atdo.co.uk) organised Track Days @ + £750 excess GF not allowed on Policy

Heritage - As AON

Footman James - Car needs to be over 15 years

Carole Nash - Car 1990 or older

Nowell & Richards - 871.97 - didn't ask cover

CB Asset Trust Group - £388.81 £250 excess covered Trackdays but with GF insured.

Peart - Not Competitive

Mayfair - Haven't managed to get through.

Lancaster Insurance - Not Competitive

968 Insurance - Not yet phoned (they advertise at the start of classifieds in PCGB mag - 911 insuracne, 924 insurance etc)

RH Classic Insurance - £299, £150 excess with GF insured, covers uncompetitive Rallies, (does that mean Track days??? See thread in Trackdays area) Euro Breakdown included also - useful for Le-Mans!

Performance Marque - Not Competitve

Thats all so far, would appreciate more names.....

well i understand from certain insurers you can buy a type of day pass of insurance according to how much cover you require.

ahhhhhh ..yes peart do it for £80 a day, but sadly their yearly rate was too high. It came with an excess of 8k on the day

I did this Previously on my Boxster, it cost me £150 ish pounds for a day with an excess of 10% of the value of the car £1800 at the time! Can't remember the company I went through for that. competition insurance???

I think the Policy could have been adjusted to 50% / 75% of the value, in which case the excess/premium adjusted accordingly!
