Was browsing around to see what 997s are currently worth (ie. how much I've already lost on mine..!!). Now, I don't have anything particularly against dealers (I'm a banker and we're a lot worse...) but this guy is either taking the piss or just not used to selling Porsches..

www.pistonheads.com/sales/91032.htm

About 95% of what he lists is absolutely standard stuff on a 997...!! The actual spec isn't that great and he's trying for £2k more than the next ad which is a truly fully loaded same car at 991virgin.

Sad thing is some guy will come along and buy this and then wonder why he's lost £5-8k three seconds after he's turned the key.

Piece of advice if you're considering a 997C4S - don't buy this one..

Not a combo I'd normally go for, but I like it. The shot showing the cockpit made me really want to drive a 997 again for some reason - must be the red belts. As for the ranting, I was going to have a go, but it seems the car isn't a Tip. However, because the car is a C4S, I can state categorically that the previous owner is a poof.

Whatever car you're looking for, it is so, so tedious to plough through a list of standard spec. Do the sellers really think people are that stupid...

Can you imagine the bullshit that dealer would have come up with when that car was bought in,'sorry sir tan interior not popular at the moment and red belts are so not in vogue'mad

Have you also noted an awful lot of the text is not only standard, but repeated twice.

For example, electric windows, sunroof, power steering.

Also, a spare wheel? Really... I thought they had those annoying squirty things in the front toolkit.

PS. Gorgeous colour though!

Nice colour car, wouldn't black leather make it just that much better.
That colour brown reminds me of my old Nans tights.

One of my pet hates, I assume some people really are stupid enough to buy a £75k car without any research or that the dealer is a tt, and is trying to make a crap spec car look the opposite in a way that no one enlightened enough to be on PH will fall for.
