Two words - BUY IT!
It's sensational! - brilliant writing by one of my favourite journo's - John Barker.
My own personal thanks to Adam (and Mike) for helping with the article.

I couldn't agree more, the article had me dribbling from start to finish, absolutely sublime writing, JB is fast becoming my preferred scribe by some margin.
The descriptions of 'toying' with the ring taxi provided an excellent frame of reference for it's otherworldly thrust.
I think the full fat version takes Sir's invoice to the jaw flailing side of £200 large but if I ever succumb to rampant folly on this scale, it's unlikely to be anything else.
Sublime, sublime, sublime and as you suggested, Steve,
not to mention

It was even better driving down there with them (guess who's car was the black RTurbo referred to in the part about driving the CTR on the Autobahn
). Getting a passenger ride around the ring with JB driving their RS4 was also a truly great experience, he is very modest, but can really drive.
The RT12 drives around town like a totally normal 997, though I only passengered in it as it was a sold customer car, so Marc B from Ruf was driving. Adams red RTurbo was also there, although it was not mentioned since the article was RT12 vs CTR.
Loved the article it's up to the usual Evo high standards.

Guy, you up at the next Brunters?
I need to reacquaint myself with the 'target,' although I hear o'er the wind that it may have moved some...
Sounds like you buggers had a supreme hoon oppo; I bet JB would be up for a whiff of your own, 'RT.'

I suspected as much but noted the inaccuracies - I mean - an Rturbo and only 600bhp mentioned....tsk.
Note to Barker - let's get the facts right!
Only slightly off topic, but did you also read Harry Metcalf's monthly write up on his new Zonda? Read it, especially if you've driven around Spa, and ask yourself would you have had the bottle to put the car into an intentional spin at over 100mph along the kemel straight? He had boiled the brakes after a few fast laps and the pedal went to floor along the Kemel. Takes some doing in a £200+K car.
