Warranty price increases
Discussion
Can one renew it early? I was thinking of doing so to sell my turbo with 18 months warranty rather than 6.
As far as price goes, that's a good question about it being the same price throughout the range. It seems wrong to me that a 420bhp supercar should cost the same amount as the ordinary ones. After all, non GT2/GT3/Turbo models have far more problems and must cost far more in warranty claims

how early?
how early?
When I bought the GT3 it came with the 1st years extended warranty that the previous owner had got from an OPC. The previous owner had bought in April, & it didn't kick in until November. So maybe 6 months?
Oh now had the 1st OPC confirm increase date as 1st November.

Didnt BMW's go from 750 to 1995?
You are partly right - a M3 / Z3 went from 700 odd to 1050 (sub 60k minles) plus 250 excess for each claim - higher than 60k is £1800 plus the 250.
Not sure for M5s but its A LOT of money.
An increase of 80 quid is nothing, beleive me.
Are they changing the terms like BMW did - charge more, cover (even) less ?

iirc the csl is still just short of 2 grand for a warranty with an excess
I wouldn't complain my good friend compared to M powered cars its an absolute bargain.
My M3 renewal was a £1050 with £250 excess had my car had 60k on the clock the figure would have been £1800.
Unlike the Porsche warranty there is no 120 point check you can do to get it renewed if it runs out either.
Service costs are a fortune replacement parts even worse.
Not one of my wisest moves.
