Seeing you post a thread with that title, having just bought the GT3 had me worried for a second!

Absolute genius Vesuv 996.....pure comedy gold.....

If you get the chance to see one of these cars in the metal or even better going round a circuit, it is very hard not to be totally impressed.

I've driven one, and it gave me a very big stiffy.

Sense of humour bypass?

On a serious note I have always wanted a 993 GT2 but feel I that if one bought a car with less than 20K on the clock I would be too worried about mileage
and thus turn into a museum piece

I can see Ted might have to instroduce two forums (Wet and Dry) to stop the cock fighting. And I use the word advisedly.

I don't think the dry boys like us very much sometimes with our new fangled radiator ways!!

Glad you enjoyed the Gt2, you certainly are a lucky chap getting to drive one!

Quite the opposite , sense of humour, perfectly intact...

but if no one mentions how dull RMS quips relating to 996 and horse brass 993 comments are EVERY single time they are posted, this forum has the potential to deteriorate further from being one of the most informative Porsche forums on the net......

Carry on Ves,,,not even a rant, just an observation

Seriously no problem at all with water cooled cars I owned a 996 from new and it was a great experience and obviously it would be foolish to discount the awesome performance of the Gt3 & turbo.

Have to agree Tim, on the museum piece thing,,, we are very fortunate that many of the Gt2 owners in the UK porsche community are still using the cars for their intended purpose.....at the moment

I know it is regarded as the ultimate 911 by quite a large proportion of the 911 community - but I have always found it to be quite unattractive...

I am sure it is the fastest/most exclusive Pork out there - but does anyone else think that the riveted on arches spoil the look of the otherwise beautiful 993?

Not sure about the rearspoiler either. This car has always left me cold, ever since it came out...

Strange, I usually go all 'unnecessary' when it comes to exclusive Pork - but this one has never done it for me.
