Quick question: I am going to look at a 996 tomorrow (private sale) and just wanted to know where the traction control switch is located, so i know where to look for it when I view the car.

mine is top right of the stereo/heater controls (without sat nav)

Depending on car/year it'll be labelled either Trac or PSM.

Works well if you've just had new tyres fitted and launch it away from the garage paperbag

Wait till you try PSM in 1" of slush. I know the manual says it can't redefine the laws of physics but I think they're being modest

hehe sounds good to me...

I personally think the laws of physics are somewhat different when your in a porsche anyway...
