been feeling a little flat lately, as the new term approaches. Ive been contemplating changing the 968 cab because I now have to transport two children to school, rather than one. that means two sets of school bags, sports bags, music bags, a saxophone, clarinet and a half size cello. oh, and my briefcase. I just cannot see how its all going to fit in. bugger.
So with a heavy heart ive been browsing for M3 cabriolets (do I have to?), Audi Cabs (eugh!) and mulling over the PH ads for a 968 coupe (that might be ok, no softtop fun but at least a good boot and would go quicker, hmmm....)
So at last I voiced my plans to the family - to be met with howls of derision, ridicule and general approbrium. "Dad, you just can't NOT have a Porsche, it wouldnt be you". "Dad you can't have a hard roof, its just not cool". Followed by prolonged muttering and scribbling on paper, and resulting in a detailed, strategic, and highly inventive packing plan. Which might just work....

Dry run this weekend. wish me luck!

Suggest they both take up the harmonica and play tiddlywinks.

Luggage problem sorted.

For added longevity, don't feed them much, so they stay small enough to use the rear seats

I think its time for a 911 C2 cab. lots of front boot space (although the half size cello might be a string section too far)

get one with a sports exhaust and your children will be the coolest in school hehe

Seats can be fitted in a cab, do a search on 968.net to see how it is done.

Yep, try a C2. Quite amazing the amount of crap we dont' need to take with us/essential stuff the kids will need that can be fitted in one.

hmmm... not poked around a 993 c2 cab but have with a 996. the boot, though deep, was pretty tiny. i thought less than the 968 boot to be honest. rather more depressing is that my porsche decision is determined by the size of its boot rolleyeslaugh

Don't forget behind the rear seats, a pain to get to I know.

I put a travel cot and buggy there.

i do have rear seats, but unfortunately a child has to go in at least one of them!
current plan is child in front, child in rear, cello in other rear seat, sax, clarinet, music and book bags in boot, sports bags on laps, my case....er....somewhere. possibly hanging from small, cold hand on outside of passenger door laugh

Yup, and Porsche rotors, suspension, turbo, door mirrors silly .....

It'll be faster than your 968 as well.
