Iv had a few Porsches among other cars and iv never had a problem with leaving them on the street untill now.

Someone has decided they didnt like my bonnet straight so have jumped and planted(id say about a size 9 converse by the sole print he left) on my bonnet putting some new and interesting lines over it.

Its a 968 cs for gods sake, hardly the flashest of Porsches so i wonder what was running(no pun intended) through there mind when they decided to re-shape it for me.

Two things really.

1. Do i get it sorted now or wait till i sell it on(it could do with a full re-spray as its a 12 year old car, but i see that as a complete waste of money really), its my track car.

2. Any ideas how i can catch the fu**ers responsible?

sorry to hear about your car......I managed to dent the bonnet on a 968Cs also in a non driving incident (don't ask rolleyes)

Much to my total amazement a dent repair guy managed to get it perfect to the eye...not bad when they charge by the panel.....give it a go.

you will never get hold of the guy...I have been waiting months for him on another job,,,plus these guys can rarely step on the toes of those franchised in another area.

The best thing to do is get reccomendations from a local bodyshop as to which one of the dent guys they use for such work...they tend to know the good from the bad.

drop me a mail and i will send you the guys mobile number, but it will only give you more hassle waiting..honestly.

I found my 993 at the weekend with a Converse boot print on the bonnet, the roof and the rear engine cover. Luckily the fool who ran over my car must have been a skinny runt since no damage was caused whatsoever. No paint scratches, he even kept his shoes nice and clean, bless! mad

Either that or it's because 993s are proper old jobs made of pig iron and built tough like in t'old days. Hate to think what would have happened to a GT3. hehe

Like to think they'd trip up on the rear spoiler, with a teeth meeting tarmac finale.

i think the guy on mine had a good old dance. God bless him.........

The annoying thing is the 968 is about equal value to the other cars parked around it but none of them had a mark.

Just a Porsche thing AGAIN then..... Why, OH WHY, do people not just say LOOK thats a good track car!

Instead they say look there's a Porsche, IM GOING TO JUMP ALL OVER IT.......

I was / am looking to race a 968 or a 964 and found these people :

www.clubautosport.co.uk/

(if you look under replacment panels you find the grp ones)

Not sure how good they are and I appreciate that a bonnet won't save that much on its own but they do wings etc as well !!!!!!

Seems only fair if the favour is returned - new drivers' craze, cars run over people's chavs.

im thinking teeth meet curb finale. american history x style. fing chav peasant underclass

must admit i have, for several years, harboured a fantasy of hiding in a van with a few mates and baiting the street with a nice car. and waiting for them. swift justice. unfortuinately you'd be showing the police up as toothless, ineffective and unwilling so you'd probably get hunted down pretty quickly.

Terrible news, sometimes I feel like putting a sign on my car saying

MAY BE A PORSCHE BUT NOT ACTUALLY THAT EXPENSIVE

Me and my mate used to put the odd plant or cone on roofs and bonnets when staggering back from the pub when we were young but would have never dreamed of jumping on one.

The youth of today mad

You could always put £4000 worth of ZYMOL on the car, not only does it protect against Godzilla stamping on your precious Porsche, but also when the parasite scum jump on the car, they'll slide right off and land awkwardly on the floor, getting compound fractures in all their limbs. Hip hip hurrah for Zymol!

Unfortunately we live in a society where success is envied, not applauded.

Shouldn't stop us enjoying some great cars though.

Last month someone thoughtfully used the bonnet of my 964 as a skateboard ramp (one of my neighbours saw the scrote do it). Left a bloody big dent together with two neat creases where the wheels ran down the bonnet. I've just had it sorted by a dent guy and whilst it's not perfect it is at least flat now. Took about half a day to fix and cost £120 - all in all not bad vs the cost of new bonnet and paint .......

Sorry to hear your bad news - what a bunch of t0$$ers. I know a couple of excellent dent removal chaps who do the work for many of the Porsche dealers. If you want details, PM me mate. I've used both of them (I dropped a curtain pole on my 3 day old 997..) and they worked miracles.
