No way. Have only just got to grips with the RS on track and really enjoying it.

Was wondering just how far off the pace I am at the Ring......a lot!

Plus, the way it's going up in value I can't afford to sell it!

Can't believe you'd get sub 8 mins on a public day no matter whos driving (just due to traffic). Mid 8 mins should be do-able I suspect but I wouldn't want to be timing myself around there because it will end in tears and a large repair bill.

sub 8'30" is possible on almost any public day. And that's in a caterham FFS!! You GT3 boys should be able to put in 8'20"s regularly (BTG), even on TF days....

I was only guessing.. as I say, I don't time around there as I think its a pointless exercise. You can have a lot of fun driving at 7/10ths.. who cares if there is someone quicker!

agreed. it's nice to know your times once in a while though, if only to see if you are actually getting any quicker!

8,15 for the 964 RS same as a Evo8 I believe.

There are dedicated pages with all the times listed somewhere.

Mate of mine dave in my old back mk1 gt3 does 7.42min btg.... he blows everyone away...goes flat through compression at 155 mph... when the track was fully open i can remember he was doing 189 mph flat through the first kink at the end of straight..

Greg, if I subtracted 3 minutes it would still be embarassing!

Fuchsröhre I take it? Sounds about right for a GT3 as CSL's are doing 150 - 155mph down there.

The first kink at the end of the straight is the fastest part of the circuit.
Considering that a GT3 Cup car that is optimally geared for the NS, is on slicks, and produces >425bhp can only do, at the absolute best, 179-180, perhaps your friend's speed was a bit less than 189.

Edited to add: The fastest that the same car will go in the Fuchsrohre is low 160s, so your friend's max speed def wasn't there.
