Any thoughts on the value of this?

On the one hand it looks cheap given new price a year ago. But right over the top end for a 996, albeit an unusual one.

Likely to drop like a stone from this price?

turbo S was a depreciation timebomb IMHO

essentially a bog std turbo with two very expensive options offered at a 30% discount - one the X50 very desirable and rarely specced, the other PCCB somewhat desirable and never specced

(plus a few other bits - GT silver wheels which I don;t like anyway + cruise and CD changer I think)


it was a £9k premium 99.5k over the std TT - not sure how on earth this car got to "over £115k" with just a bit of carbon trim, telephone, PDC and the ali/steel/chrome pack

probably worth max £2k over a similar age 996TT X50 IMHO - £75k would probably be reasonable

but yes its a depreciation money pit given highest price on old model

You'd think that on the S they'd have the aluminium gear lever and handbrake as standard rather than the cheap ones on this example?

agreed, although even if it was the usual £400 extra, you'd include it in your supposed £115k spec!!

Surely that isn't what they charge for the alu-pack is it

no, thats for the ali/leather handbrake and gearstick

ali packs are separate options

small £600-700 = ali to binnacle sides / central dash vents / 3 part strip
big = £1000+ = small plus ali to side vents and speaker covers
