Was reading an old issue of evo and saw a 9ff article with a modified black TT with a GT2 wing on the upper portion of the standard TT wing - makes the car look even better.

Can anyone recommend a place where I can source something similar and also to have it fitted?

Thanks in advance!

Be careful, if u change the back you normally need to change the front otherwise you will find yourself taking off at high speed or something crazy!

Erm! Totally fine if you want to put a GT2 wing on a 996Turbo.

Worked on a Turbo with a GT2 front end the other week, looked amazing in solid black as well.

It looks like the front end will swallow someone up yum yum

I potentially have one for sale as I'm thinking of getting rid of my 996TT via an OPC and they're not interested in it so I'll just put the standard item back on. It's just a bolt on item and takes five minutes to change on the standard turbo (with a pin wrench which I have) - it's black, so may need a repaint and finish dependant upon the colour of your car - PM me if you're interested

went to see a 996TT with a factory-fittted GT2 aerokit (as an exclusive option)

in idea what this would have ocst, presumably mor ethan the £3500 or so for the turbo aerokit?

also is it just a front PU + rea wing or does the GT2 have different side skirts / rear PU from the TT?

forgot to say I would have bought it had it not been brilliant black rather than basalt - paintwork was swirlier than a swirly thing

IIRC about £7k.

New Front PU, same side skirts, same rear PU, but its not just the rear wing - its the whole rear engine lid and wing. You can get bolt-on replacement wings but don't look anywhere near as good IMHO.

how do you bolt onto a TT though - surely the bottom lip of the std TT wing is an integral part of the boot panel? must admit I've always thought a wing replacement also meant the panel beneath except on GT3/RS

The tt wing is bolted onto the two pillars the go up and down at 70mph. The GT2 bolt-on replacement simply goes onto the two pillars in its place and still goes up and down at 70mph:

The proper GT2 wing is an integral part of the boot lid and is joined at the sides and not bolted onto the two pillars. It doesnt go up and down at 70mph:
