The reason is that nobody can be assed to join up to another forum simply to read one thread. If you think that the story is interesting enough, post it in full on here rather than giving us a link to another forum!

PS: Try not to break down on your way back to the Fezza forum

It's just a Porsche Driving Experience day. Some of the people here have already done them at Milbrook with various fancy instructors in various fancy cars. Although it sounds like a fun time was had by all, remember that some of our board members drive faster cars than the 997 Turbo on better circuits than Milbrook Alpine and one or two are racing drivers, too. Please forgive these people for not rushing to register at fchat.

Some of us have in the past registerred at fchat/scuderia but I don't have viewing/posting priviledges. Pretty impressive as I've never even posted there.

"dazren, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1 Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?

2 If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. "

Who runs it? Are they a PHer?

Shouldn't think so. One particular moderator on there is a complete a**hole (can't name names but his reputation is pretty legendary). You'd never get his attitude on PH, although Daz and I obviously try our best

Its a real pain though. Shame you can't host them on PH and attach directly to messages.

In fairness posting a "blind" link and then getting aggresive that people do not respond is rather strange. The good people reading and posting on here may sometimes be a little "theory based" rather than "hands on sideways living on the edge" but isn`t that pretty much the case with most people in the western world. They do however meet up and float their boats from time to time and seem a jolly enough bunch, certainly harmless. Definately not worthy of chastisement in the middle of the night.

For my own part I appologise for not having responded earlier owing to my recovery from sweating my bollox off trying to (and managing), shave several seconds off my best time round Silverstone earlier in the day in readiness for the forthcoming 24 hour race. Should I post a thread on the Ferrari forum that there was only one Ferrari running on the day and you lot need to get up off your arses and start racing your cars ? Of course not.

A simple, "just had a cracking day being driven round by a racing driver in a lovely Porsche" would have envoked a response. Just for the record I have registered with the forum but sadly am still unable to access the link for some reason so at this stage no one actually knows what you got up to !

As ever keep smiling.

Its not that hard. After all Stimmo managed to post a picture of his car in his profile. I agree that it could be easier but surely its easier for one person to post pictures here then several people to join up to another forum? ...amd then for him to get assy about it is just a joke!

I got this one too (joined up on some previous occasion to look at some pretty pictures, have never posted though)

If you want people to look surely you could give a working link?

Just host pics free on imageshack - couldn't be much easier!

Yeah it could. Most every non-custom forum software lets you attach files directly and hosts them on the site. Imageshack is a real pain and then you have to manually coble together all the links, and thats after you register on imageshack etc!

I've never registered to use imageshack Trouble with attachments is the amount of space Ted would have to provide and the extra bandwidth used. No point when there are easy alternatives in place specifically for image hosting.
