996 carrera spoiler 2002

Hi everybody,

Owner of Lotus, I'm going to change for a porsche 996/3.6l.

I've seen one (2002 model)with a rear "Carrera" spoiler, including the third stop light. On Porsche internet site, I've found it. It seems that this spoiler is delivered with a front lip to be added to the front spoiler (probabbly to optimize the aerodynamic, changed with the rear spoiler).
Does anyone have information on this spoiler: is it better than the original or is it for the look? Could you show me a picture of the modified front spoiler?

I think you may be talking about the spoiler that I have on my car. I was under the impression that it formed part of the "cup" kit along with the sills and the lip. Dunno practically what difference it makes over the std speed sensitive spoiler but I think it looks the berries and that's what's important....to me!

Yes it is the same! But there are no sills. And I would like to see how the lip looks like: any picture of the front spoiler?
Rear and front spoiler are sold together without sills, I found the reference here:

Thats the Aerokit package. I have it on my 3.6 996, with sideskirts. Its really only for looks, I dont think it will make any difference to the cars performance

I think you have to have the whole lot fitted for it to be balanced. That is to say that you shouldn't really have the wing without the lip/skirts?

I have to check if the car has the front lip.
