Okay, yes, sorry, another question.

I was just after peoples opinion - I've spoken to an indy (did a search, good feedback except from one car buyer who said they were rude) about an early 996...

Reasonable mileage (say half 'average') but when i asked about the service history, they said OPC till they serviced it 3/05 - and that its due a '24k' which they will do as part of the sale.

Now my gut reaction is the car has gone 18 months without a service - my understanding was 12k/12 months.

Is this likely to be an issue? Whether just for the car, or resale? (no info on the miles between them, and the cars only been up for sale for a month or so (or since i last searched anyway))

I was going to call again tomorrow to get more specifics on the car & package they offer - but I dont want to waste their or my (yes i know im wasting yours by you reading this, but you didnt have to you know) time if people think this is a show stopper.

My personal opinion is walk away... I know I'm being persnickety , but here goes anyway...
The interval is 12k or 12 months as you say.The previous owner didn't 'cherish' for want of a better word , his car enough to look after it the way it was intended. What else did he do or not do , that you won't be aware of??
It's always going to be a blotch in the log , no matter how well you keep it, and it may come against you when it's time to sell.
There's so many perfectly cared for 996's out there , don't take second best.
