To be totally honest it looked so out of place where it was parked I thought I was looking at a stunningly accurate kit car until I happened to notice the tax disc confirming its true identity as "Porsche 550".....

Absolutely stunning (and soooooo small)

Can anyone fill in the gaps... What exact model is it? (RAC say first registerd in 1970 which is somewhat confusing?)

It's a Porsche 718 RSK replica. IIRC they were not available as RHD which kind of gives the game away.

Ah.... Wonder how he got the tax registered as "Porsche" then?

Guessing maybe a porsche lump to manage that one?

Stunning little car with everything fitted seemingly very authentic.

I have seen a chesil speedster fitted with an air cooled Porsche lump. Allegedly a very quick car, so it wouldn't suprise me if there is a 550 spyder running around with a similar set up.
