I know this forum is for advice etc but I just wanted to share my anger with you all.

After a crap day at the office I get to the station and get in my car, put the roof down and have a good drive home and park up. As I walk to my front door and look back at my car to see how good it looks (sad but do that every night) I notice that some toer has keyed it from front to back. Now I'm not an aggressive fella but if I could have got hold of the person that did this they would have been.......well you can guess!

It just piss me off that I have worked hard to earn my car and some jealous cock causes so much damage in one swipe of a key!

Sorry all for ranting but I hope you can understand.

That's a big shit! However, why oh why do you leave your pride and joy parked at a station? It really is asking for trouble at some time or another. Cycle, walk or buy a scooter/old motor for that journey!

Sorry to hear that mate, my car has been vandised twice - once I caught them and they got fired as it was a bin man so I took it all the way and got compensation plus an apology but it still didnt make me feel better.

If you knew who it was I would happily put on my balaclava put up my baseball bat and come help ruin his life!! The only thing you can do is just get it fixed and try to avoid leaving it at stations as that is where my second time happened. The person that did it will have no life and will be a complete loser that will get what is coming too him soon - hopefully he will get glassed in his local tonight.

Chipsway fixed mine for a good price - my turbo is artic silver and they managed to do it without a full panel spray and you cant tell the difference.

try not to let it ruin your weekend, its upsetting but remember its worth it as these cars as fantastic so think of all the joy it brings you

Cheers

B*&%ards - no words can describe them really - just worthless pieces of scum. Have to agree with 993tt though - why on each would you leave your Porsche at the station car park of all places ? Absolutely guaranteed to get damaged - scum will know you park there everyday and they won't be disturbed for hours... :-( Has the car park got any cctv ?

Sorry to hear that.
It happened to me years ago.
Unfortunately there are sad little tts out there that can't take someone else working for something and then having it.
The chances are though that the little prick will cop a good kick in one day, as the sort of people that do that usually ask for it in lots of other ways.

I think its bloody awful that this has happenned, but no way is it the owner's fault. Bad enough to have to deal with this mindless act, without being told you practically deserved it!

i leave mine at the station when i go to london (its quicker and cheaper) they have CCTV and I would ask for the tape if they have at this station.

if I found anyone doing that to my car I would happily risk prison kicking the shit out of the little ers.

It wasn't at the actual station carpark, it was in a local side road outside my cousins house with a parking permit etc.

I leave it there because at the end of a day in the city there is no better way to chill yourself out than with a drive home!

There really isn't anything you can do and i really feel for you on this one.My first boxster was walked over parked in front of my place of work,my second was keyed at showcase cinema car park and my 996 got dented at the gym.
I watch people at shopping centers just slam open their car doors and dent other peoples cars without even a second look.
Buy a banger to do the grind,i'm afraid its come to that sad state of affairs

This is an interesting thread. Very sorry to hear about the keying - an act of absolute cowardice, and utterly indefensible! If its any consolation, the b4stard will get his comeupance one day - but sadly you wont see it!

I remember my Dad's Jaguar XJ getting keyed along the boot in a station car park - these places seem a haven for little vandal scum. I would never park my 997 in one, although in my local station in Essex, I regularly see some nice cars in there.

Nobody has any respect for other people's property, I have had 3 Porsches now, and when I park them in a car park of any description (even the really smart ones in the West End loaded with Phantoms, Bentleys, Ferraris etc) I HAVE to park a long way from any other car. The other day I parked across 2 spaces (an excellent way to avoid parking dings BTW), it is worth getting nasty looks from other car park users (flash Porsche tw4t etc) who think Im doing it just to be awkward.

What are you going to remember at home - some idiot abusing you, or a dent in your door which YOU have to spend potentially hundreds on?!

Does anyone else do this in car parks, or is it just me?!

Hope you get the scratch sorted, GOOD LUCK!

1) I hope this is not true. It's a minority who ruin it for others.

2) I do this

3) I do this also

I like to enjoy my cars and try not to be bullied off the road by the vandals.

Yes, I'm always very concious of where I park it.
Don't take up two spaces though. If I have to go to the local Asda's I always park as far from the entrance as I can, in the least populated area of the car park. Trouble is you park up with no one near you but when you come out 5 mins later, despite that part of the car park being nigh on deserted, some t--t in an MPV (the one with the mega wide doors) is parked right up against you. You then have to limbo into the Porsche, having spent a few minutes making sure they haven't slammed the doors open against your pride and joy. I know, sd or what!!

I think a bit more sympathy is called for - I'm forced to leave my car at the station everyday (normally for 14 hours a day!!), as getting another car wouldn't be very practical for me, and in any case I'd then struggle to justify my 997 C4S if it was only for weekend use.

These people are scum and will get what they deserve.

Sorry to hear this, old bean but when society is hell bent on structural self-emaciation via class deconstruction (a process directly proportional to the collapse of feudalism in agrarian and industrial sectors), the actions of the lowest orders is to be expected.

If the piece of sh1t concerned had spent 15 hours rivetting steel plates together for a warship used in the furtherment of empire, it is unlikely he would have possessed either the energy or inclination to vandalise.

In no way does this excuse what has occurred but it does highlight the need to oppress the peasants given their latent idiocy.

Sorry to hear this has happened to your pride & joy, sincerly hope it polishes out without any respray.
I don't know what the answer is, as a society we have become far more materialistic, yet as we all "own" more the green eyed monster seems to be getting worse not better!

Of course we mustn't talk negatively about people who go around scratching cars, it infringes their human rights, it's not their fault, it is their parents who taught them how best to use the benefit system & hate anyone who has more than them. Best not waste police time tracking them down, if they get caught the judge may well sympathise with their up-bringing & send them on safari to really teach them a lesson! Anyway the police are far too busy catching speeding cars to bother with gangs of youths in grung with hoods & baseball caps hanging around on street corners. SOD all this political correctness that is ruining our society, it is NEVER the criminals fault, maybe it's time to do what they did in New York with the "Guardian Angels", perhaps we could call it "PistoffAngels"!
