Header Tank and Coolant blanking plate Warranty?
Discussion
not covered - even though it says 'cooling system' in the literature
... tank is £150 ish + cap at about £10 - labour, depends on who does it - some people say 30 mins others 2 hrs. I did mine myself in about an hour (1st time I'd done it) - bit of a pig to do but if you're patient and practical then worth doing - lots of details on renntech.org... PS - by blanking plate do you mean the blue cap ?

So depends where the 'evidence' of the leak is - if it's just around the cap and drain, then replace the cap only (part ends 01) but if evidence is under the tank, then new tank I'm afraid ...
Thanks Guys.
I will try the new cap, the blanking plate is actually the Engine gasket something and is covered under Warranty.
Why don't they cover the tank, its not as if its a wear a tear part !!
If the cap does not work I will be trying to install my self, looked at renntech and it looks a wee bit fiddly, so I may end up with a dent in the rear wing when I kick it through frustration. But I love the sense of achivement if it goes well.
Just a point OPC in Surrey said none of the above is covered but then spoke to someone more helpfull in OPC in Berkshire and they where great apologised that the tank wasn't covered and told me I could book the car in for the gasket much nicer attitude and wanted to help unlike the other OPC
