Don't ask how it happened, but I have a small kink in the nosecone of the 996.

I touched the edge of a concrete pillar in my haste to catch kick off. I know, I know, I am a tool.

Anyone know the best way to get this invisibly mended, so I don't have to have a new nose cone and spray?

I might just leave it alone as it is not noticeable except close up, but would be interested if this is something which can easily be fixed?

That's shoite Ves , sorry to hear .. I can't help you from across the water , but remember , what you can see from 500 paces , a prospective buyer / tyre kicker probably wouldn't even notice..

(Not that I'm suggesting you're in the process of a sale or anything!!)

Not much help I'm afraid... I know how I'd be ....

You can see it for sure, like a hairline vertical crack about three inches long.

Might have to buy that Turbo now.

Or ..... You could change the front spoiler for a turbo one!! (Okay , only joshin)

Lady Fate has taken a hand Ves , she's tellin you this car is no longer for you .. Turbo time.. (So you can have even more 'fun' trying to avoid the inevitable front spoiler dinges).

Oh , she's just whispered to me that it's going to take another six months before Turbos level out on the depreciation curve...

Lovely summer weather .. No need to get coat

You can turbo probably get it turbo fixed by a chipsaway type turbo place or somewhere like turbo that.
Wont be turbo perfect but good enough to turbo not be noticed in normal turbo circumstances (make sure its turbo got a little dust on the area when turbo you come to sell it !)

Or, buy a new car....but I would never directly tell you which one....

Vesuvius

Look on Ebay, there's usually a couple of second hand one's on there. Would probably need to be re-painted though.

i sold a used front pu to the porsche specialists in Halesowen for £100 a while back

a used pu might be a better value repair than a full insurance claim

I had a crack after a small bump on the Boxster and the OPC filled and resprayed. Only went that route as not my fault and the other insurerer paid.

However, I don't see why Dent Master (or a similar, as they vary in quality around the country so I hear) can't fill and brush out. Can't see why you need a new bumper or am I missing something

Two peneth.... JK
