cracked discs

Having read a previous thread and how someone ground a cracked disc to reveal that the cracks were very shallow, here's my question:

Has anyone heard of a disc breaking up and was it in motorsport, track day or road use?

not heared of it but as a rule change your discs when the cracks join up.

I think it was John Chester who posted about the depth of the cracks. I believe he had his discs skimmed and the cracks disappeared, at least for a few more track days.
