Valuing a GT3

Can somebody help me by valuing a car for me?

A silver GT3 Comfort Mark 1 on an X plate
Left hand drive,Xenons,lightweight seats....this is where its gets tricky, 1 owner, 2,450 miles (yes that figure is correct), not a single scatch, chip, mark, dent, totally perfect in every way possible. Never tracked but parked in a collectors garage just to be admired. We are talking about a car that has arrived from the year 2000 in a time machine - perfect in every way possible....oh and a full Porsche Service History.

I am at a loss. It must unique. It must be as good an example as one can find, and beleive me I've been looking!!!

Any ideas? Your thoughts would be appreciated.

So has it been serviced every year regardless of the (lack of) use?

I'd put it around the £45K mark.

I would say an equivalent RHD car would be c.£55k. There was one similar to this with 5.5k miles that sold for mid-50s in Jan of this year IIRC.

Then discount for LHD... closer to £49-50k?

Ahh, but you have to apply the extra discount to account for the fact that it's silver ....

Actually, the RHD car I allude to was that most common of silvers... Arctic silver! Who would have guessed that silver remains the most popular colour? (just that no one wants to admit it on this rather "colourful" forum... )

6 years and 2400 miles, what a waste. It has been serviced regularly, so you'll just have to run it in gently

i would rather have a car with a few stone chips thatd been run.

If u r thinking of buying it to use as an everyday drive or for trackday use then any premium that you did end up paying would be lost in depreciation in a very short time. I would ask what a good X reg car with normal miles would fetch and perhaps add no more than a grand. Just my 2 cents.

For what its worth, I've just paid well south of £40k for an identical car but with 30k miles on the clock

Also I'd want to know how the 2450 miles had been done?

2 trips to Lemans great, 2000 trips to the local shop bad!!!!

And is this the sort of collector that gets up in the morning and starts all his engines up, revs them up a bit then switches them off? Scary thought!

You dare indeed - 38k incl fitting a tracker, changing a slightly chipped windscreen & swapping the reg no.

The tyres are likely to need replacing too if they are the originals. Still, the interior should be very tidy at that mileage which is always nice.

So what do I do, buy the GT3 for say, £42,500 or spend a bit more and try and buy that very tidy Turbo advertised on this web site at £51,000 for what £49,000?

Totally different cars so you can't compare them.

Take them for a spin and see which one you prefer

Yes but ones in Cardif and the other Bucks. Which do you think represents the better investment/value for money?
