If you do a search on the forum you'll find broad opinion on how easy it is for owners to live with the roof ... somewhere around here ?

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

As for discount, could you say what percentage ??

Hi folks.

Out of the blue, I have been offered a brand new 718 Spyder RS with weissach pack.

Great spec, great colour ( shark blue) but not something I had looked into or considered.

It's been offered a good bit below list.

Are these not really in that much demand, and where will the prices of these settle if I am already being offered it under list?

Also, how much of a hassle is removing and replacing the roof?

Any advice / thoughts appreciated.
Currently 6 brand new unallocated gt4rs for sale within the uk, I’d say the SRS is heading the same way.

All depends if you want the car to use and enjoy or if you’re worried about depreciation.

Do you have a strong previous buying history with the opc which offered you the unallocated car?

Perth have been advertising a new blue car for a few weeks - recently reduced below list. I think that with both cars mentioned supply now at or even over level of demand as speculators now not interested so “ordinary” buyers have a chance while they are still being made.

Haven't Porsche said that they will extend the life of their ICE cars ... saying also that the take-up of EV's is slower than they would like and delaying announcements on the new Ev Cayman ?

This is cheap for great top spec SRS.

First new one from OPC with big discount.

Sets the tone for further bigger discounts on new ones over winter.

Quite ironic the OP always claimed scratchchin he was far more interested in driving than depreciation. hehe

Does beg the question if he can actually afford a Porsche lol.

Yep Chris could well be delayed due to lack of demand.

Pleasure chap.

So you are making out you have just been offered an unrepeatable deal Spyder RS at below list which strangely has already been offered at huge discount on the OPC network for months but hasn't sold.....and you claim I am the self important one. biggrin:

Then you bang on about depreciation.....again.....rolleyes

Ok. rolleyes

718 Platform doesn't meet the new EU cybersecurity regs and is not something that can be fixed economically. RS Models are exempt due to limited production.

Are you considering popping it up for sale privately on the likes of PH and AT.

You see very few sensibly priced private Porsche GT cars for sale nowadays, which shocks.

As long as the seller is realistic they should get a higher return than the low trade bids we are now hearing about.

I agree ... why not give it a try ? It will be under warranty and it's not as-if the OPC's are offering any freebies ... it's tight for everybody ... and there is more cost effective finance around than that currently offered by OPC's ...

Goes to show the potential huge profit these opc still look to make per sale when possible.

£124k trade to a £147k showroom floor price is some difference.

Its only a few months old, so they can’t of had it long nor can I see an opc overpaying in this market.

^^^^ incredibly rich coming from someone reknown for constantly banging his well known fantasist drum 'its all about the driving' and nothing whatsoever to do with the prices and depreciation. scratchchin

Yeah right.

And yet here he is starting a thread on the very subject of demand and prices. biglaugh

You couldn't make it up. rolleyes
